U8 Red vs Rangers

Foggy cold and wet was what the reds were greeted with this morning at Ashton, jumpers, beanies and gloves all being worn as well as the jerseys. The soccer on the other hand was scorching hot!! A tight first half with Sam scoring a couple of cracking goals, his new nickname might be 'BOOM', the defence held up well with Max making some timely saves.
The second half didn't go quite as well, however Scott put the icing on some great teamwork from defence.

The teamwork continues to build and the confidence that all the kids are playing with is fantastic.

U8 Red vs Hahndorf

Today we welcomed back Lachlan to the team after a 6 week break, and he hasn't lost any of his skills!!!

It was a cracking game against Hahndorf, with lots of scoring opportunities for both sides. Again our defence was rock solid, with Scott making some great saves, and assisted by our pocket rocket Ari.

U8 Reds vs Mount Barker

We came up against Mt barker this morning and after a very even start, the Reds found their rhythm. Elliot was on fire with a couple of goals and some great breakaways, but a cracking shot on goal from Scott was a highlight that got the crowd on their feet. The defence was solid and the midfield opened up lots of scoring opportunities. The team work and believe in each other continues to grow, and the team celebration after the goals was fantastic to see.

U8 Red vs Hahndorf

When the fog lifted just before the match started, the kids were excited to be playing their first game in 2 weeks.

However Hahndorf were out of the blocks quick, and scored a couple of goals before the Reds settled into their groove.
First gamer Hannah started hesitantly, but was soon in on the action. Elliot, Sam and Charlotte peppered the goals all match, with some fantastic runs into attack. The passing and teamwork came back and scoring opportunities opened up.

The sky may have looked like rain before the game started, but the only rain was Goals by the U8 reds. Sam was on fire with 3 and Charlotte chipped in with 1, but everyone on the field contributed to the game.
