U10 vs Hahndorf Black

Woodside Warriors U10 team played against Hahndorf U10 White at home this week. After some wet weather it was great to see the pitch in good condition, even though it was still cold and dreary for the game.

Hahndorf started the game on fire and had an early shot for goal laying down the challenge for the Warriors. They kept the pressure on for a large part of the first half and with great ball skills continued to move play to their attacking end. This paid off for them managing a three goal lead early in the game.

Woodside Warriors U10 team played against Mount Barker United U10 Red at home this week.

With fine and sunny conditions, it was a great morning contest for players and spectators alike. The teams were very evenly matched which meant the ball travelled from one end of the pitch to the other quickly through skilled footwork and team play on both sides.

The first half was an evenly matched game, with some great attacking from the Warriors, but their play was met with skilled defence work from Mount Barker that made it difficult for Woodside to break through for a score.

A warm and sunny Saturday morning at Mannum saw the Woodside Warriors U10 team take on the Mannum U10’s. The Warriors started hard and fast from the beginning taking the ball straight to their attacking end, and with some great passing between players their first shot for goal was within the first two minutes of the game.

U10 vs Nairne Knights

On a sunny winter’s morning at the Nairne Primary School Oval a match was commencing between Woodside Warriors and Nairne under 10 teams.

Both teams were off to a great start with both having a shot at goal early in the match. The first half continued in this way and appeared very evenly matched. However, once warmed up later in the first half the Warriors really started to shine, taking the ball to their attacking end and scoring the first goal of the match. From this point, the extremely enthusiastic Woodside Warriors worked hard to keep the ball at their attacking end, with the Nairne defenders keeping the pressure on the Warriors the whole time. The Warriors had a few shots at goal in quick succession that were foiled by the astute Nairne defenders.
